A web server with:

• PHP - v4.3.11 or later installed
• Secured log upload area (using .htaccess)
• Log uploader (provided) [logup-osQSL]
• Log search and view (provided) [logsandv-osQSL]
• Apache web server - v1.3.41 or later installed
• SSI (Server Side Includes) [can be enabled through .htaccess directives]
• FTP daemon [check by using ps -ax]
• Access to filearea above your web domain root (where your front page lives)
  

A local machine with a minimum of tools for initial set-up:

• A WYSIWYG editing tool (optional)
• FTP client program capable of SFTP
• Secure login for use with SFTP (usually PuTTY)
• Handy tools to make documents, PDFs, but NOT for HTML generation
• Text Editor with language syntax highlighting (TextPad or Notepad++)
• Modern-ish browser, preferably a choice of >IE 7, >Chrome 9, >Firefox 3, >Opera 10, or >Safari 4

For the end-user:

• Modern-ish browser, preferably a choice of >IE 7, >Chrome 9, >Firefox 3, >Opera 10, or >Safari 4
  (depending on code development javascript may have to be enabled)
